As early as 2019, Val d’Europe should be hosting its very first music festival: Val d’Eurock. Hôtel l’Elysée is sharing all the details it has learned so far.
A music festival to celebrate Val d’Europe’s 30th anniversary
In 2017, Val d’Europe celebrated its 30th anniversary. In 1987, this new sector of Marne-la- Vallée was founded, just 30 kilometers east of Paris. And our 4-hotel is nestled in the heart of this area, which surrounds Disneyland® Paris.
First edition in 2019 because “2018 was cutting it a bit close”
Three decades after its founding, Val d’Europe might just be welcoming its very own music festival. The concept seems to be a priority for local politician Jean-Paul Balcou, who said that “the idea is still on the table.” He went on to say that “the preparation is taking time.” For him, “2018 was cutting it a bit close.”
At least two stages for local, national, and perhaps even international artists
Because Val d’Europe likes to think big, the event could welcome 30,000-40,000 people in its first year, growing to reach 150,000-160,000 attendees. The venue has yet to be confirmed, but the festival will take place over “two or three days” for this first edition, with “at least two stages.” It will be necessary to welcome local, national, and perhaps even international artists.
A name that rocks: Val d’Eurock!
The lineup will be created “in collaboration with File 7, Magny-le-Hongre’s performance space.” As for the name, no further reflection is necessary: Val d’Eurock was chosen, according to Val d’Europe’s communication. It’s a good way of referencing a music style, even though plenty of other genres will be present. Pop fans, stay tuned!
