Disney® fans rejoice! The American giant is gearing up to invest no less than €2 billion to create three new themed areas in Disneyland® Paris. The staff at Elysée Val d’Europe, partner hotel to the famous amusement park, has got the inside scoop.
Director of the Walt Disney Company® has a private audience with the French president
At the end of February 2018, director of the Walt Disney Company® Bob Iger was invited to a different kind of Elysée i.e. the French president’s residence for a meeting with Emmanuel Macron. During his visit to Paris, he announced “a development plan worth €2 billion for Disneyland® Paris”. This investment includes a “transformation ofWalt Disney Studios® including three new themed areas”.

During his meeting with the president, Bob Iger mentioned “several new attractions and live entertainment experiences”.
When will the expansion of Disneyland® Paris begin?
The American franchise will start work on the project in 2021. This expansion will also include a new lake which will act as a stage for live entertainment and connect all three new themed areas.
