4 things to enjoy in Paris in January 2020

N°1: Visit the Louvre by night
The free nighttime hours at the Louvre will be on Saturday January 4th 2020. On this evening, you will be able to famous works including the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and Winged Victory. To get there, simply take the RER A into Paris and then take the metro line 1 to the Louvre-Rivoli station.
N°2: Enjoy a car-free Champs-Élysées
France’s most famous street is usually busy with motor vehicles, but on Sunday January 5th it will be reserved to pedestrians only, from 10 am to 6pm. It’s a great time to enjoy the last of the Christmas lights, which will be taken just a few days later, and to take some souvenir photos while the street is free of cars and buses!
N°3: Visit museums and monuments for free on the first Sunday of January
Each first Sunday of the month, many monuments and museums across Paris are open to the public free of charge – and Sunday January 5th is no exception to the rule! Just a few days into the new year, you can visit the Arc de Triomphe, the Centre Pompidou, Sainte Chappelle church, and many other museums including the Conciergerie, Orsay, Arts et Métiers, Quai-Branly, Orangerie, and more.
