A new Cars attraction is coming to Disneyland® Paris
The Disneyland® Paris teams are hard at work on the future Cars Road Trip attraction, inspired by the Pixar studios movie!
Route 66 from Chicago to… Disneyland® Paris?
Though Disneyland Paris is currently closed, the team wants to make sure that the reopening will be truly unforgettable – which explains the activity going on in Catastrophe Canyon at the former Studio Tram Tour attraction. The area has been redesigned to fit in the world of Cars, the Pixar feature film that stars Flash McQueen, a racecar speeding down the famous Route 66.
The famous Dinoco racetrack
The new Cars Road Trip attraction will take guests along the legendary Route 66, where they’ll run into several familiar faces from the Cars movie. Guests will be transported by a huge semitrailer – baring a Dinoco logo, of course, a nod to the racetrack featured in the franchise.
Local artisans at the wheel
“We transformed an American truck into an iconic part of this new attraction,” said one of the project workers. We should note that a local auto shop remodeled and repainted the truck, worked on design elements for Catastrophe Canyon, and renovated the Studio Tram Tour vehicles.
Disneyland® Paris: reopening planned for April 2021
Disneyland® Paris hopes to welcome guests back beginning on Friday April 2, 2021 – but will only do so if the conditions at that time allow. From ticket reservations and room bookings to relevant health and safety measures Hôtel l’Élysée Val d’Europe will have all the information you’ll need when the long-awaited reopening is confirmed!
