3 markets worth visiting near Val d’Europe
Do you love a good deal on fresh produce and more? Seine-et-Marne, the area around Val d’Europe, is the perfect place for shopping lovers! Our hotel has picked out three great markets, right near the hotel.
Serris market
This is the closest market on this list, and the only one organized weekly on Sundays in Serris – home of our 4-star hotel – from 9 AM to 1 PM. To visit the market, take the Cours du Danube on foot for ten minutes. On the same plaza as the town hall you’ll find the market, with vendors hand-picked by the town. This brand new market only began in March 2019!
Lagny-sur-Marne market
All year long, the Lagny-sur-Marne market welcomes visitors from 5:30 AM to noon each Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The outdoor market is held at Place de la Fontaine, in the covered stands of the Place du Marché au Blé, as well as on the aptly named Rue des Marchés. To visit from the hotel Elysée Val d’Europe, it takes less than 20 minutes by car and slightly longer by bike. Along the way, look out for the Chigny forest!
Magny-le-Hongre market
In the town of Magny-le-Hongre, the hall of Place de l’Hôtel de Ville welcomes its market every weekend. There are a variety of stands offering food and more. There are special events organized all year long depending on each season. The market is open on Saturdays from 8 AM to 1 PM. To visit from the Elysée Val d’Europe, it takes just 10 minutes by car or about 15 minutes by bike… A great way to build up an appetite!
